I am a technologist with deep experience in search, web applications, backend systems and large scale data handling. I worked for 3 years at Google in the core web search team where I got hands-on experience in building huge scale systems and worked on challenging problems in ranking, search evaluation and analysis of large amounts of data. Google was an experience to cherish; I met a lot of very interesting people and learned a ton. Prior to Google, I was at Motorola, building mobile applications and connectivity applications using technologies like Bluetooth. Currently, I am working in a stealth mode startup called BloomReach based in Mountain View.
I have a PhD and Masters in Computer Science from University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. I love to program and often explore and build things just for the fun of it. I like dabbling in various programming languages and like dynamic languages such as Lisp, Python and Ruby.

I live in Northern California and love the great weather and its awesome community. I have previously lived in Illinois which I also liked in-spite of the cold weather. In my minuscule spare time, I enjoy listening to western classical music, hiking, skiing (at a very beginner level), ice skating and roller blading. I am big fan of Isaac Asimov and have read all of his short stories and a fair number of his novels.
